Japanese Embassy Event
Published by Emma Vieceli May 24th, 2006Hot on the heels of the London Expo will follow a manga exhibition and panel at the Japanese Embassy in London!
I feel honoured to have been asked to this event along with my friend Sonia Leong.
Though the event is open to the public, you do need an invitation - which you can get by emailing the following:
Simon Wright, Cultural Officer
The Embassy of Japan, 101-104 Piccadilly, London W1J 7JT.
simon.wright@jpembassy.org.uk
Just drop them a line to get your invite to what sounds like one of the most unusual and enlightening manga themed events in a while! Ever wondered what the publishing world makes of manga in the UK? You’re about to find out! ^_^

You guys rocked, your exhibition was very intriguing, the whole Manga Shakespeare thing I think is a great idea! Though I found out from Sonia the actual novels won’t be out for a whiiiile yet. Maybe it’s just a coincidence but, Romeo & Juliet and Hamlet, are the only Shakespeare stories I have studied, ever! And now two artists I know are doing versions of them! XD Can’t wait! Anyway, nuff from me, grrreat exhibition Ems! Shame we didn’t get to really chat! ^^;
Until next time ^_^
