Comic Book Tattoo


I created a short comic for the upcoming Image book release, Comic Book Tattoo - a HUUUGE and beautiful book influenced by the works of Tori Amos. My work will be alongside that of many incredible creators. I feel very overwhelmed to be involved. Faye Yong was my colourist for this project.



Violet


My series, Violet, is currently running in the Saturday comic section of the Guardian Newspaper. The series is being created for the DFC. Click the thumbnail to see the online version of the strip over at the Guardian Online.



ImagineFX


I am part of the panel of artists for Future Publishing’s Imagine FX magazine. As such I’ve been answering some art related questions, the first batch of which were found in the January 2008 issue.



Shakespeare at the Centre


This article was featured in the Shakespeare at the centre magazine: a magazine published by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.

Spacedog Christmas card


This Christmas I was asked to provide a design and lineart for Spacedog’s Christmas card. Colours by the wonderful Annette Kwok. The character is Evie, to be featured in Spacedog’s upcoming graphic novel - published by Tokyopop.



SFX Total Anime

- This magazine featured a large, 4 page article about Anime network (see below), but more appropriately to this section of the website, I was also asked to provide some illustration work for the issue, in the form of a magical girl and pieces for the manga bore article.

Herocard:Cyberspace

- I was responsible for the character of the Cryptomancer in this table top card game, created by Tablestar games. Other artists on the project were: Sonia Leong, Aleister Kelman and Selina Dean.



Digital Manga Techniques by Haden Scott-Baron

- I was proud to be a chief contributor to this A+C black published book. Other contributors were Hayden Scott-Baron (the writer), Selina Dean and Laura Watton.

- I have provided artwork for two of Chris Patmore’s character design books. Character Design and Fantasy Females. Both are published through A+C black and can be purchased at Amazon.



Tokyopop’s Rising Stars of Manga

- I was over the moon to be chosen as a winner in the UK’s first Tokyopop RSOM competition with my entry ‘Between the Lines’.



How-to-draw appearances

- I supplied guest art for each of the following books, and a wrote one chapter for Manga Clipart.



Irish Dancing & Culture International

- I created manga illustrations for the new look magazine and a special edition bag, published by Wildfire Communications.



Artists & Illustrators Magazine

- I wrote an article for Pilot on the uses of their products in creating manga.



Neo - World Manga articles

- I was honoured to be mentioned and quoted in these articles about manga’s global reach. The first is on World manga, and the second about manga in the UK.
